5.10. TerminalControl
Whendelivered,theDriveisinthefactorydefaultstate,meaningthatitissettooperateinterminalcontrolmodeandallparametershavethe
defaultvaluesasindicatedinsection6.
Connectthedrivetothesupply,ensuringthecorrectvoltageandfusing/circuitbreakerprotectionsee
section10.2.
Connectthemotortothedrive,ensuringthecorrectstar/deltaconnectionforthevoltagerating‐seesection4.6.
Applythemainspowertothedrive,thenenterthemotordatafrommotornameplate;P107=motorratedvoltage,P108=motor
ratedcurrent,P1
09=motorratedfrequency.
ConnecttheDriveHardwareEnable(STO)circuitasfollows(seesection0forfurtherdetails)
o LinkTerminal1toTerminals12(STO+)
o LinkTerminal9toTerminal13(STO‐)
Connectacontrolswitchbetweenthecontrolterminals1and2ensuringthat
thecontactisopen(drivedisabled).
Connectapotentiometer(1kΩminto10kΩmax)betweenterminals5and7,andthewipertoterminal6.
Withthepotentiometersettozero,switchonthesupplytothedrive.Thedisplaywillshow
StoP.
Closethecontrolswitch,terminals12.Thedriveisnow‘enabled’andtheoutputfrequency/speedarecontrolledbythe
potentiometer.ThedisplayshowszerospeedinHz(
H 0.0)withthepotentiometerturnedtominimum.
Turnthepotentiometertomaximum.Themotorwillaccelerateto50Hz,(60HzforHPdrives),thedefaultvalueofP101,underthe
controloftheaccelerationramptimeP103.
Ifthepotentiometeristurnedtominimum,themotorwilldecelerate
to0Hz,thedefaultminimumspeedsetinP102,underthe
controlofthedecelerationrampP104.Theoutputspeedcanbeadjustedanywherebetweenminimumandmaximumspeedusing
thepotentiometer.
Todisplaymotorcurrent(Amps),brieflypressthe (Navigate)key.
Press againtodisplaythemotorpower.
Press
againtoreturntospeeddisplay.
Tostopthemotor,disablethedrivebyopeningthecontrolswitch(terminals12).
Iftheenable/disableswitchisopenedthedrivewilldeceleratetostopatwhichtimethedisplaywillshow
StoP.
